Meatballs OP?
Am I the only one to think that they are OP? Once you realize how easy they are to make and how you can 100% rely on them and ditch all other foods the game loses most of it's tension.

Once you have crockpots and spider nests close surviving winter becomes a matter of sitting in your base eating meatballs and just waiting for the boss to appear.

I really lost interest in the game since I realized that survival was no longer a concern.

You can use them to eat, however they are not good for health for sanity so if you need either of those you need something else, there's also other recipients that are just as easy to make once you know them that are far better

The spiders that you farm for meat also give silk for tents and top hats (HP + sanity)

Once you're settled near a spider nest you can easily keep all your stats full.

I don't see what can be easier to make than 1 monster meat + 3 ice.

That doesn't even compare. The stats are better but the ingredient is much more rare than monster meat and ice cubes.

The reason meatballs are OP is because of the massive stat gain from cheap and common ingredients. You hardly need to leave your base since ice cubes just pop around and all you need is a close spider nest.

before winter i have stack of dragonfruits and some extra seeds
dont know whats the problem ? how many meatballs u have to eat to restore 100 health?

3 sticks and one Dragon fruit, pretty easy, Perrogi is easy as well and is better for health, Meaty stew for hunger, Taffy for sanity (I think),there are so many better recipients than meatballs

Yes they are. Really op. And everyone was point at that literally in almost all existance of ds game. It is spicy to balance them properly because they just become too useless for some ppl but Im always using in my game mod to reduce their hunger to same value as kebabs.

Even if dragon fruit is easy it is very rare compared to monster meat and ice.

Hunger is the most concerning stat during winter and meatballs remove the challenge.

Restoring health isnt a problem if you wear armor and don't lose any in the first place. With a tent 1 hunger becomes 2 HP + sanity so it's very easy to recover.

Yes I did, but again this isn't really OP considering the effort required to earn it.

Also meatballs are so OP that they pretty much make the belt irrelevant unless you're playing Wolfgang.

You really are just refusing to see anyone else's arguments and responding to all of them with one of three things
1: Item X is too hard to get

2: Spider farms are easier than whatever method is suggested

3: Meatballs are OP and you can't change my mind.

It's called the discussions for a reason, your sticking in this with a closed mind
Bleep Bloop Jan 28, 2019 @ 12:59pm
Im not saying that items are "too hard" to get, I'm just saying they are considerably harder to get than simple ice cubes that spawn all around your base and spider nests that you can relocate, which means they can't be considered OP.

I mean I said that meatballs are OP but people point at superior consumables/items that are much harder to get.

Don't think yourself an expert because you abuse noobballs for food, you aren't.
Spook Ghoulman Jan 28, 2019 @ 2:17pm
they are a good "basic ♥♥♥♥♥" food, but later into the game you can get the good stuff the pierogi.
and honey ham.
