you place meat on the shrine and it allows you to craft special event items out of lucky nuggets

To clear everything up, let me just explain everything.

You get "golden belts" by killing pigs that are visibly wearing a belt. (Also, i think the Pig's kiting has changed, since they flinch less, or at least that what I've noticed.

You take the belt to the PK, and once you give it to him, the event starts. 4 Pigs spawn, and the PK periodically spurs out gold coins and signs with a crown icon on them. Your goal is to pick up as many coins as possible. Use the signs to knock away pigs and stun them for like a second. They will try to pick up signs and do the same to you when all the gold has been picked up. Also, you can hit other players with signs.

You will get a prize of gold coins in varying amount based on how well you did, you will always get at least 1 per player.

After this, go to a pig shrine (8 gold, 2 boards) and place 1 meat on it.

The things you can exchange with the shrine is as follows.
-The dragon hats, (head, body, tail)
-Red lanterns (Lasts 12 days, gives as much light as Willows Lighter)
-Fireworks (Im not 100% sure what this does, I think it distracts mobs, but dont count on it.)
-Mud Pie (give it to a pig with a belt, and they will take off the belt and drop it on the ground, skipping the need to kill the pigs for it.
-Fish Head on a Stick (gives 75 hunger and lasts for 15 days, spoils in 7.5)
Pig Tribunal (I forgot the exact name, it's basically a meaty stew, restoring 150 hunger and 12 hp)
I mightve forgotten like one other item idk

I personally haven't seen any other features, but I was only able to play today for like an hour.

the fireworks can be set off to spook hounds for a few seconds

I have 8 gold 2 logs and I dont see any option of crafting the pig shrine in the structures tab. (We're in the year of the carrot, whatever the hell that is). Why cannot I not craft the pig shrine? theres no option to do so.

Year of the Carrat ended when Wendy's rework went live.

You still can host a new server with whatever event you like.
