Telltale hearts have to be given to you by another player. Life giving amulets can be haunted in order to revive you but not the telltale hearts.
My friend did give me the heart, it did not work. Finding another touchstone did not work either. We tried every method of revival. On giving the Telltale heart, when my friend gave it to me, said, "Their Pockets are Full" despite me being a ghost.
I've been playing Don't Starve and Don't Starve together for a long time. This is definitely a bug rather than user error.
I have no understanding of what events transpired to make the second touchstone and TTH useless, but they were not effective, in the end we started a new world.
Character mods on the host end, but given we've been using the mods for the characters for days, and on the second server we could revive no issue, I do not see how it would happen on error of a mod, given the mods are just reskins anyways.
I thought maybe it was the mod, so we tested it out in the second server, dying multiple times and needing revive, but we couldn't replicate it with the mods still active. I'm curious as to the cause of the issue, but the fact I can't replicate it seems to be unnerving.
