virus alarm?

yesterday i join some random server and avast start calling me every 30-60 sec it detect some virus
i check all pc with avast and dr web, all clear

is it possible some virus try to connect my pc with game?

your anti virus just doesnt like the data your computer sends for online ,simply make it ignore dontstarvetogether.exe

Any server files can be infected with a purpose which you then download when joining such a modded and third-party server.

Stay away from that server, easy. Could be really a trojan/virus or a bad modded file which alerts your Avast.

Play on Vanilla Servers.

..and use ESET Internet Security.

If you havent had any problems with DST yet, don't let "ignore" dst.exe ---

Windows antivirus complains about the dst startup file, if it is blocked, the game will not start

Yeah I also have this issue. Windows defender and steam recognize the files as a virus, even on a fresh install, and even before the game is ran. The second I hit download Windows defender goes off. Knowing that Klei is associated with Tencent, and the timing of being after a major update, I am inclined to keep the game uninstalled and not to play until this gets fixed. Call me paranoid, but I'm not taking blind risks to get my fix of a video game.

I had been dismissing the virus stuff offhand as shenanigans, but if Klei is connected to Tencent that changes the calculation :(

This happens to me every time but i play with like only 5 mods and they mostly character mods, but still when i make an server private i get avast saying its dangerous and does the same when i load the game, it is kinda scary since i think i had viruses on my pc before and i dint even know, Anyways if anybody knows the reason why tell me please.
