Any big mods for the game?

"Multi-Worlds" is the only one I'm aware of at the moment. It adds many new biomes and mobs, seems to add shipwrecked content as well...though I can't speak for it's actual quality. First impression is that it's mostly reskins, but regardless it's something you could check out.

This is a pretty common mod and it's reasonably balanced. Makes things a bit too easy for my tastes though.

Those are some interesting mods, but I'm looking for something even bigger. I'm starting to think there are no mods like that for DST...

There aren't, it would be very time-consuming to make a mod like that, even for a whole team of people. There have been many projects to make mods such as that for DS and DST (Island Adventure, Unnatural Selection, Creeps in the Deeps, Up and Away if you want ot look them up) but they generally take over a year and none of them have been completed entirely as of yet.

Check out the starving floor mod. It creates an arena like game mode where you can select different classes and have to fight waves of mobs. It's a bit like the Forge but you have more classes, can also build stuff and there is a money system which allows you to buy better equipment after each round.

Not really an overhaul mod but the treasure chest mod confugured to your liking plus either really harsh or really easy enviroment settings make for a really interesting game.
