1. Kill all volt goats in a herd and leave one alive.
2. Move it slowly to the place where you want the new herd to be.
If you do it too fast, the herd location won't be able to update and the goat will keep running back to the original spot and goats will be respawning there.

This video is a play-by-play version of doing what SonicDen220 said.

you have to go to the caves and then disconnect the server. when you start your server again the voltgoat will be re located

Does this same method also work with beefalo herds? Or do they need special taming or other methods?

Currently i got 3 bugged beefaloos in my world which run constantly to the ocean, and i want to have them stationary and make a new herd.

help D:

Beefalo are much easier. Simply feed beefalo and it'll follow you to where you want it (not during mating season though) and if it's during mating season simply have one (or more) chase you to where you want them, or use a beefalo horn and they'll follow you whether it's mating season or not. Place a salt lick where you want them, or build a pen around them, or you can do both. On the next mating season whatever beefalo you've moved (even if it's just one) will have babies :D

But the thing those 3 beefalos break out of their pen and salt lick, and they seem to be fully reset.
Again savage not tamed and they want to walk back passed ocean to "old home".
How to make for them new home to make new herd at my main base without lick? I got feeling as soon salt lick gets destroyed the walk endlessly to wall and want "original home"
Makes sense? Is confusing the taming :(

If you relocate them far enough away from the original herd they won't try and go back :)
