Don't Starve Together

Wagstaff has been Added to Don't Starve!
Wagstaff, owner of the Voxola Radio Company, has been released as a playable character in the Hamlet Beta Branch! I've only played him for a couple of hours, but I really love him!.

Stats:
210 Hunger
150 Sanity
150 Health

Perks:
Has a new crafting tab: Tinkering
Has most tier 1 science recipes unlocked
Near-sighted
Uncooked food damages him

I think that this character is really unique! I hope he gets added to DST along with the upcoming new characters! I would love that!

EDIT: Perhaps his goggles could be changed to see in sandstorms like desert goggles and spot hidden enemies. (Treegaurds, Tentacles, Depth Worms, etc.)

All the base characters were added into DST, and Wagstaff *is* a base game character... so we'll have to wait and see.

If not, it could be either because he died fulfilling his destiny, or simply escaped before the events of Don't Starve Together.

Wagstaff has a big chance of being added to DST, he is considered a base game character, and the only 2 cases that wasnt like that were Wigfrid and Webber

Has for the other ones like Wheeler i dont really see them being added unless Hamlet itself is added, but considering how Shipwrecked hasnt been added after so long, i dont see it happening any time soon

Wheeler and Wagstaff are part of the base game, not the Hamlet DLC.

Wheeler is part of the Hamlet DLC while Wagstaff is base game.

How did you enter hamlet beta?

To access the beta branch:
Go to the BETAS tab in the Don’t Starve Properties dialogue.
Enter the code: dsinteriorbeta and press the CHECK CODE button.
Select hamet_interors - Hamlet Interior upgrade beta from the drop down.
Your game will then update to the new beta branch.

I liked the looks of the guy from the mod more. Less cliche.

I'm pretty sure Wagstaff has animations for emotes, so it's a pretty safe bet he'll be added to DST.

it's only 1 item, out of 6?

I think every character does, even though you won't see most of them in normal play without mods.

give me example of character that was actually ported :P
we just had them all since start ;d

then we got winona and everything went silent.
now devs are back to characters, wortox was first, and they said there will be more, if they go lazy way then they can bring this new non-dlc character

and about shipwrecked... they can't do anything because of copyright stuff
no idea if hamlet has the same problem, but surely hamlet isn't even fully released yet ;D

It's safe to assume you'll be able to find him in the workshop whenever the modding community is up for the challenge. I doubt he'll be a good port into DST because his core mechanics are intrinsically linked to the Hamlet environment and not "vanilla" Don't Starve.

Maybe they can give the goggles more co-op use by letting you see in sandstorms or locate hidden enemies (treegaurds or poison birchnut trees, for example)

this sounds like good replacement for the "peculiar" feature

Maybe they could add more gadgets to his tinkering tab that could benefit co-op play to make him a better team player.

But do we really need another Winona?
