How did Abigail die?

I can't figure this out. Abigail's death is a mystery to me. I've looked at a lot of theories: Wendy killing Abigail (unlikely), Willow burning down their house and Abigail being trapped inside (Wendy doesn't seem to hate fire, and wouldn't she, if thats how Abigail died?)... There are so many. I want to know how. Maybe Abigail drowned, considering that she haunts a lotus flower. Maybe Wendy tried to save Abigail and failed, and that's why she's so guilty. But consider the fact that Wendy still mourns Abigail because she's afraid if she moves on, Abigail will be forgotten. HELP ME. PLEASE. Sincerely, Joy ^-^

P.S. The theory was answered, but don't stop adding theories! I still think she drowned.

One of the halloween skins is wendy all drenched up. So yeah my guess is on drowning too.

She tried to swallow a whole Oreo cookie and suffocated from it. Nobody around to do the Heimlich maneuver for her, being found out by Wendy minutes later when she actually wanted an Oreo. She was more upset about her sister finishing off all the Oreos than about her death.

But it's the constant. Which would imply she died before and got transported there. Wendy's morbid curiosity doesn't seem to be anything new either so most likely she died outside of the constant and Wendy just carried her belongings (flower) with her which permanently manifested as a fragment of her being in the constant.

Wendy's title (the bereaved) also strongly implies that Abigail died through someone else's hand, possible experiments related to the constant.

Yes! This is definitely a solvable mystery. Everyone, please add some contribution to this theory!

In the story, Wendy was one of the first people in the Constant before Charlie turned the portal that Wilson and Maxwell made into the Florid Postern, along with Wes and Wolfgang. It is stated that Wendy is between eight and ten years old. It would be easier to figure this out if Abigail was a humanoid Wendy, glowing blue. Then we could determine if she were older or younger than Wendy when she died, then we could figure this out.
