and that should be enough, the rest is kinda the same. maybe a bit longer exploration to start, but no big deal in the later stages
It depends on what you consider "fun"; that if you consider a really hard challenge, as the main entertainment for you, or a casual relaxed world to discover stuff or design mega bases?
If it's the number one, the challenge, then:
1) Lower the number of Flowers (Non-evil).
2) Increase the amount of Surprises while hunting.
3) Set Hound Attack to more.
And you can also lower more resources if you want, and increase the amount of mobs. But don't forget to:
4) Set a goal for yourself. For example, to die less than 3 times. Or to kill a boss at early days.
If it's the number two, the casual world, then:
Focus on lowering values that you find most pointlessly annoying. You can:
1) Lower the amount of wild fires. (They are very harmful for mega bases at first steps.)
2) Disable or lower Frog Rain amount.
3) Disable or lower Hound Attacks.
4) Set Carrots to more.
5) Generate a Huge world with Small Caves.
6) Also increase the Day and Autumn.
Finally, what I personally suggest, is a default but huge world. GL.
I was with DST while it was having a free weekend, then I've purchased DS, after a year later now it's free weekend again :-) Want to give it another go, since I am now familiar with DS
*corrected the game name (Don't Starve, from DT to now DS)*
Did you try out shipwrecked or hamlet though? I think those are much better experiences especially for solo players.
The new beta RoT boat is very slow for singleplayer and needs big coordination :3
TL;DR Playing DST solo is kinda bad or awkward "compromise". I recommend DS + DLC for singleplayers or at least get some friends for DST play. Playing DST solo is alot of waste of time cause buffed difficulty for 3++ player party.
Sure, :) Hope you have fun.
oh yeah definitely. Shipwrecked is so fun, and whats best is that idk most of the things there, giving surprises.
