Don't Starve Together

Don't Starve Together

What season do you find most intense?
Summer: Overheat and everything sets on fire. Crops wither.
Winter: Freeze to death and roads get buried in snow making it harder to navigate. Little food grows.
Spring: Everything gets wet and you can freeze from the damp.
Autumn: Omg i don't know how i survive the autumn, it's too intense man!

For me i think summer is the worst. It feels like the sun is going to crash land as everything gets so hot and even sets itself on fire. Even while wearing things such as the straw hat and summer frest you still seem to overheat very quickly. I usually seek refuge in a cave for summer.
Then i return to the world after the apocalypse has ended like coming out of a fallout vault.

Summer. You have to keep managing several key aspects to not end up having a bad surprise, with the ice-o-matic, the antlion donations, and the endothermic fire.

spring
STUPID FREAKING RAIN AND FROGS AND GEESE AND WETNESS AND LIGHTNING
AHH I HATE SPRING
IT SUCKS BOTH IRL AND DST JUST RAIN SUCKS

Summer in game and in real life.

Summer is the most intense, but also the most fun (in DST and irl). I love spending summer in the Oasis and caves, spending nights fishing and planning out the coming Autumn.

Autumn: I sleep.
Winter: Hmm. (Heck I think this is the slowest one in my opinion)
Spring: Real ♥♥♥♥.
Summer: ASCENDED

Winter in the caves is the most painful place and time. Little light, freezing, water and sparse resources the further you go into the caves.

Dry season & Lush season. Both are brutal. Dry kill you with meteors of doom and lush season let you constantly sneeze and lose item / loot.

Winter & summer in default DST are kinda boring and too easy to skip sadly ...
RoG overall had only gimmick seasons ...

When I categorize Seasons based on intensity level, I barely consider their affect at my character's survival or the game play. I think that they all are easy to survive.

However, the intensity of the Seasons, for me, is the level of frustration they bring.

I find Winter intense because you need to carry around a thermal stone or change your hat/ cloth all the time, and also provide heat repeatedly.

I find Summer intense because you need to keep cool all the time and pay attention if something is on fire or if the IF is running out of fuel.

I find Spring intense because you need to deal with annoying Frogs from the Frog Rain (Which also causes lag and crashes for me), and wetness all the time.

tbh its weird, but i think autumn is the most intense because autumn is the season where you prepare ♥♥♥♥ and try not to waste time. also winter is the most calm season because the only thing you do is literarily fight klaus and deerclops. and maybe mactusk if its the first winter.

Eh, depends on your definition of intense then.

The first Autumn can be seen as intense because you have to gather ressources for winter while building your base.
The first Winter can be seen as intense since your base is still limited. Also you may not be fully prepared to handle Mactusk and Deerclop yet.
Spring has rain, frogs, frog rain, and beefalo mating making the season a bit harder than the others.
And Summer has the need to keep cold with limited fire options when you camp away, the ice fling o matic in your base to keep full, and now that pesky demanding antlion.

yeah i always have an anxiety attack building base, collecting resources, getting shadow manipulator, finding ruins, and explore the map in just 20 days. once i get to winter i always calm down a lot and just try to get weapons for deerclops (which is easy as ♥♥♥♥). i dont usually fight klaus until the 2nd winter.

Summer is harsh but it's the last season in the cycle. Winter is a-okay if you plan well, but Spring is just a pain in the ass. Awful boss with worthless drops, you can still freeze, sanity is always at a minimum and to top it all off you have frog rain. Frog rain is such a dumb, unfair mechanic that I always turn off, you basically have a 50/50 shot of getting it every Spring and whenever you do you have to go through the pain of dealing with easily over 20 frogs who can stunlock you to death.

Probably Summer because of how easily things can do south.

Winter is kind of chill as long as you're prepared, but if you're not you're in for a bad time.

Spring is SOMETIMES absolute madness with constant rain and frogs, other times its just "What a nice season"

Autumn is what it is.
