Don't Starve Together

Super confusing buying process...
I'm confused with all of these versions.
Let's say I want to buy the best single player experience, is it just buy "Dont Starve Together"?
Or is that a separate version that doesn't have the features from what seems like the main Single Player Version???
And what do you buy if going for the Single Player version????

Don't Starve is the main single-player version, Don't Starve Together is the multiplayer version but allows you to still play solo too with other features added. They both separate games.

Do you want a more stream-lined single player experience with better expansion packs (Hamlet and Shipwracked) get Don't starve.

Do you want to play with friends and show off your skins? Get Don't Starve together, it's quite simple, really :)

P.S the better "expansion pack" part might change in the future, when Don't starve Together will also recieve major content update, in the form of new mobs and biones.

Yes, but the only "content expansion" DST has is Reign of Giants. which in my honest opinion should be part of the base DS game too. I was referring to expansions as in the veins of Hamlet or Shipwracked.

and what about new reign?

it easily beats shipwrecked/hamlet and you don't have to pay bonus for it

That too, but still doesn't change the fact that in my opinion the original game has way more interesting "expansions" then DST :)

I much perfer shipwrecked to ANR so its really a matter of opinion

in the end its a simple choice. buy DS if you perfer single player and DST if you perfer multiplayer. they both have tons of content and if you get good enough at one of them and like the game then buy the other

That's what I did, minus the get good part.
