How much health does this thing have? I'm probably going to attempt to blow it up instead of appeasing it, need to know how much gunpowder to take

Normally you would need 30 gunpowder to deal 6000 damage, but the Antlion is one of the many new bosses that gain an explosion resistance for a few seconds after getting hit. I have no clue how much gunpowder is actually required to take it down in a single detonation.

It's very easy to defeat with minimal armour and a couple of basic spears. Its attacks are very easy to avoid, so you might want to try a melee approach instead of wasting resources on probably 40+ gunpowder every summer.

Antlion is the easiest seasonal boss, no need for gunpowder, a few practice fights, and you will be able to do it without armor. Or you can farm snurtle shells, and tank it. Check it out, this thing is amazing.

On this channel you can also find how to farm these beauties, or a written guide on steam by the same person. Snurtle shell is good to have for every occasion, I mostly use it for the Antlion, you barely have to move during the fight.
