Besides survival....

I've played countless hours in DST but after building & getting everything there seems nothing else. The game just becomes repetitive & eventually stagnant.

What exactly else is there to do???

install mods
and the events that release time to time

Not all games last forever, nor do they have to. Maybe you should take a break and wait for an update. Maybe go to the gym or learn a new skill, then come back to the game just for relaxation.

Well I mean the gym can be fun if you go with friends and or by yourself too. Helps with stress and if you learn how to play an instrument it's a great skill to have.

But what haven't you done yet? And or what do you have so far?

What keeps it fun for me isn't really surviving but building bases and zones and replacing turfs. or having multiple bases. like a cave base. ruins base. etc, then maybe goto and experience the new lunar islands set up the celestial gate and you could build winona caterpults or bee queen wicker bottom set ups threw-out your world idk. to me there's never really nothing to do. if you want to experience more forced survival I'd say try making a don't starve single player world and linking all 3 worlds together from Rog to shipwrecked to hamlet and making each one sufficent such as setting up a telocractor focus at aporkalypse calender or making sure you have a volcano base in SW.

Some interesting points. I know little of anything else. I do set up mini outposts here n there. Is the Celestial gate travellable?? When you say linking all three worlds together does that mean you can visit each one in some way or you mean combining there biomes?

but regarding linking worlds that's in don't starve singleplayer. when you create an RoG world you just need to make it hamlet compatible so that it allows you to world hop with the the skyworthy and seaworthy.

There's honestly endless things to do in dst. survival is just the beginning. a large majority of the content is easy to just ignore or leave alone in worry of dying. and whatnot. even on my own current world that's like day 260 or something? I've done nothing but base build and basically afk my winters and summers away uncovering the map and watching netflix. you gotta want to do more to make it enjoyable.
