Can we have a spider farm?

Would love to have some sort of spider farm that would produce web and (that healing item),without the need to atack and kill spiders.

What do you think?

Build some rabbit hutches around spider dens and let bunnymen take care of them. Be careful when harvesting the meat though, as they will attack you if you pick the meat up.
Another way is to play as Webber, feeding a single spider monster meat and causing it to attack other spiders to cause a giant civil war. It's more effective the more spider nests there are.

the problem with that is that the spider webs that exist in the world are soo far from our base that I wish there was a better way to get spider items without leaving the base

You can move the nests closer to you if you destroy them while they are a tier 3 nest. It will drop Spider eggs which can be planted closer to the base so you don't have to go anywhere near as far. But as far as I can tell. I'd rather farm by fighting them.

If you kill a nest that's fully grown (it will be 3 blobs tall) then it drops eggs that you can place anywhere to make a new nest.

Also pigmen are effective against spiders. 6-8 pig houses around a den will do it, and it's much easier to craft than a rabbit hutch.

Just build some traps around the nest and lure them in.

Make a fire staff or torch and set the warrior spiders on fire if you are having issues with them attacking you. They will start running around as long as their on fire, making it easier to kill them and the nest in the long run. It'll take time, but it will be worth it.

If you step on the webs, 3 spiders will come out and investigate. Let them chase you (dont hit them!) until you're far from the web. Once they are far, you can kill them without warriors coming out. After you kill 9 spiders, they should stop coming out all together when you step on the web. Now when you attack the egg, a warrior will come out (there will be a warrior for every player who is nearby too, so do it alone or watch out.) Deal with that warrior and then you're free to kill the egg.

By the way, a simple rabbit trap will instantly kill a spider who steps on it, warriors included.

wait and then get the things from the trap also you can bait it with meat :)

That's a big waste of resources. Just kiting spiders out only uses up the durability of your weapon and even that isn't a problem.

Webber is PERFECT for having infinite food,silk and health,and possibly protection.
Try and clump up a lot of spider dens together by destroying 1 T3 den which gives you a spider egg.
That spider egg can let you plan a spider den. Rinse and repeat until you have a lot of spiders.

Now,you have to feed one of your own spiders, press CTRL-F near an unallied spider and cancel the attack before it can hit the spider. A war will begin. Try picking up stuff as fast as possible because spiders can eat their own brethren's monster meat.
