No saplings?

I started a new world and so far I'm yet to come across a single sapling. I've found plent of Twiggy trees instead.

Is this normal or a bug?

It's a very normal occurance, don't worry about it.

Unless you'd rather have saplings, anyway.

this is a bug, i had it in my world, i used the mod to reveal my map after not having saplings for so long, my map had none, at all.

sometimes saplings get replaced by twiggy trees...the same happens to berries being replaced b juicy berries.
