The Vote Kick System.

Alright so the Vote kick system is pure garbage you can easily kick players that have not done anything wrong, you can join in a random server with a bunch of friends and start kicking players and its really annoying, I have happened to encounter this in a server i was enjoying then all of a sudden my fellow Don't starve together player gets kicked off and I couldn't do a damn thing.
I hope this system gets reworked cause it is the ultimate troll weapon for everybody who just wants to play the game with other people in a regular and intended way.

It needs a cool down period at minimum, it's too easy for the same person to kick everyone possible. Because there's only one vote permitted at a time, if they keep spamming kick then it's impossible to actually nominate the person doing the griefing.

That system needs to get removed at least from public servers. Ofc if you host your own servers it means your own "house" -> your own rules.
But for public servers this vote dictatorship is unacceptable, especially on Klei servers!

The possibility of a votekick system being misused is as old as humanity itself. However I don't think I much like the alternative either, namely having no way of removing trolls.

If you decide to screw people up with friends of yours then you can do this without a votekick system too. You can screw up people alone fine enough. Removing the votekick system won't much lessen the possibility of getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥, it just accelerates the sordid process.

You could say that a votekick system, and it being misused by a bunch of people, at least has everyone lay their cards bare. If people actually decide to votekick me or someone else, be it for lulz or because they are too lazy to check whether the person to be kicked has actually done something wrong, then I suppose I don't want to play with those people in the first place and long run anyway and be glad to be kicked and realize their intentions much sooner than later. Better it be done this way than them torching down my hard-built base several two-digit days into the world.

Kinda irks me when a group of friends hog a dedicated server all to themselves instead of just hosting their own. Should be something done about that.

And there you are very wrong. I play DST since the beta, and honestly this game was much better on public servers before this rigged vote kick system got introduced.
Sure before that time trolls did actually need to take time to find bases to burn them down -> rinse repeat.
Now they can delete whole worlds within just 15 seconds with this rigged vote system. And goodwill people can do NOTHING about it. And dont say blablabla host your own server: The very reason about public server is that they are for everyone and that they cant be taken hostage bye a retarded troll minority!

For example they dont even need to vote kick all people from the server, they simply grab a group of "raid trolls", enter any random server and instantly vote regenerate world. Tadaaa all progress lost and it doesnt matter if people coop and build cool bases there, all lost forever and experience broken for them.

This system is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and i really wonder why klei leaves it in this broken state? Definitelly the times with ghost powers and no vote system were much more fun and enjoyable on public servers!
