Wes In the Forge
Is Wes useful in the forge and if so, how do you use him?

With Wes being fast, he's mostly used to kite enemies since he can keep aggro for a long time. He's really helpful when the Boarilla comes out so the others would be able to defeat the other mobs so everyone can focus attack. Same goes for the round when two comes out, except Wes kites one while the others attack the other one. It also helps that Wes can be revived 2 times quicker (or 4 times if Wilson is rezing the Wes) and can get back to kiting quickly.

Wes is a runner he will distract the bosses. Take darts and all the gear that makes your running enhanced.

Wes is decent as a runner due to his ability to keep aggro, but he is outclassed by woodie in that regard, making him not really viable.

How so? How does woodie outclass him as a runner?

I'm assuming he means that Woodie can throw his axe once and instantly get aggro, while Wes relies on attacking the enemy relentlessly until they start to follow him.

And then you have to consider that Woodie has far more versatility on top of that. Woodie can off-tank and DPS as well as perform as a runner.

Wes is viable. There really aren't any characters that aren't viable. He just isn't optimal.

As far as in my experience, i had an easier time playing as Woody being runner. Throwing Lucy to mobs instantly aggroes them regardless of what they do, that is automatically better than wes's aggro ability thingy.

That combined with the fact that if you're good enough you won't die much or at all, means that wes being able to get up very quickly won't be that significant anymore.

The only downside as far as i saw, is that woody can't use range weapons like darts (wes can), so he has to switch gear (including lucy) to a tanky build in order to stand up against the boarrior. Throwing lucy to the boarrior will more often than not hinder the team, as he will unpredictably do his sword ground pound thing to the wrong people, not to mention it aggroes him to woody, making him move out the healing zone if placed.

I guess there's a viable option to an experienced woody player where he can aggro the boarrior into the healing zone to make him sleep, while distancing himself from other people so he can attempt to hit only woody and not others.

Also woody has 200hp. Wes has 100.

I tanked with Wes in one game, it was funny. If you have a wynona healer and she dropped her hammer wes can use it.

Can we end this thread now? Wes = GOD. Period.

Wes is the best runner next to Woody though Woody is just straight up better IMO. Since he has more health, and starts with a weapon to get aggro. Where as Wes is frail an needs the Molten Darts to do his job properly. He can do other things of course since roles are mostly equipment based. But compared to other characters he is only really good for running.
