Also giving DLC for free (then not splitted) to everyone would kill the reasons to play singleplayer.

Shipwrecked was outsourced and made by a third party company, thus they won't port it or it will get very expensive.
This could cause possible copyright problems or such or simply missing manpower.
Nevertheless the Capybara games company did put great work in this "spin off". SW is a fun game in it's own right and doesn't need any alteration.
It is still understandable that there are other reasons for the lack of SW, clearly, but the prospect of a story in a multiplayer-centered game shouldn't be one of them. Keep in mind that this is the game where two Wilsons can coexist together, and there are no questions asked about it. Does gameplay have to suffer for the sake of canon?
