Console not working

So, I wanted to test the console out but, nothing happened, for example if I typed in
krampus_sack
It would not show up, it would just make me back out the console and nothing in my world would be affected. (EDIT: I listened to Mikro and it didn't work, I tried once more with a different thing and I saw it said "[string "c_spawn(krampus sack)"]:1: variable 'krampus_sack' is not declared." in the console.

I looked up things to help but it said "go in to settings.ini" but settings.ini is not there. Can anybody help me with this issue?

The command to spawn a krampus sack is
c_spawn(krampus_sack)

From what you said it sounds like you just typed the prefab name and nothing else.

I believe you need parenthesis around the object

c_spawn("krampus_sack")

In the singleplayer version, you have to turn the console on first, but in don't starve together, if you are the host it should be on by default.

yup it's parenthesis

so c_give("krampus_sack") or c_spawn("krampus_sack")

if those aren't working, then it might be a client mod, or you may be adding in an extra space at the end or something
