Are caves worth it?

So I started a new world then realized I had to put caves from the beginning setup in order for them to be active.

Is there anything I gonna miss in them that I'm going to regret not putting them in from the begining¿?

Yes , caves got 2 awesome new bosses and in general better challenges. But if you play your world only to day 80, it wouldnt really matter. Basically caves + ruins is endgame for veterans :p

I'd say even if you're a newbie, there are some great advantages to the caves! With just a few lightbulbs harvested from underground you can make a lanturn, which is a great, re-fuleable, portable lightsource. Also, there are plenty of mushrooms, which can be great for food in a pinch. There's a lot of rocks down there, too, plus some extra berry bushes and saplings and stuff. If you're only going to dip down for a few lightbulbs and resources, I think the caves are totally worth it.

if caves disabled meteor showers I'd say they are 500 percent worth it. Sadly they don't.

All the places i want to live usually end up having a rock biome somewhere nearby.

no caves = no lanturns.They are a great way to escape the heat of summer. I always play with caves.

i wish i could put caves in my world my pc is so horrible that cant run multiple servers and lag so much

My pc: i7 3820 @ 4,4Ghz
Ram: 16 GB
Internet: 20Megas
