Before I buy Don't Starve Together, I have a few questions.

I wan't to buy Don't Starve Together, but I have a few questions about the game before I buy it.

First Question:
Can you play both solo and co op? I wanted to know this because I might wanna play alone sometimes, but I don't know if I should buy the two game bundle for that. Can I just play solo in Together?

Second Question:
Is there online play? Will I be able to play with players online? Or can I only play w/ steam friends?

Thats all the questions I have. Please, someone, answer them! Thank you!

You can play both solo and co op. If you are playing solo althou you will need to host your own server which can get laggy with a bad computer . I dont think its worth getting the original game anyways. You can play online with people from your steam and random people from the game. You can meet tons of new friends :D

You can technically play co-op but the mobs are signifigantly tougher than in the base game and you won't be able to pause. Yes there is online play and aside from the greifers (by the way the game has mechanics that will probably protect from 95% of greif attempts) the community is pretty decent.

I haven't had any trouble with lag on a solo world. Definitely buy only this game, not the other one. It is super fun, even if you don't have friends who play it. I join random games and make friends that way. :)

Windows 10 works very well with Don't Starve Together.

my friend runs it on a i3 and she doesn't get much lag. but it matters mostly on the hardware of ur computer not the operating system

No, but there are mods for it.

The mofs that are for it or unstable incomplete and do not have the different world Gen that shipwrecked has
