Don't Starve Together

Any way to turn off variants?
I don't like the fact that twiggy trees and juicy berries have a chance to completely replace saplings and berry bushes. I've looked for mods and looked in world settings but can't find a way to the them off. I want at least the twiggy trees to stop replacing my saplings.

It seems like nobody has made one. It's strange how some things are modded in the first weeks and other things are ignored.

Yea thats going to be so easy. And then of course naturally normal twig plants are going to spawn

I like the idea but unfortunately it won't spawn saplings in the world.

Twiggy trees are annoying, but what's wrong with juicy berries? Also just set the world to the largest settings, and you should get both somewhere

I don't like juicy berries because of the general mechanics. 3 berries per bush great!... Oh stupid bird get out of there!!! Welp, there goes my entire crop in seconds. Plus that spoilage time is stupid.

Yeah they spoil insanely fast. I just plant a dozen or more in a row, pop them in a crockpot when they grow and easy meals.

In my opinion DST suffers from bad mechanics. No choice of variants, more and more ways for your non-renewable resources to disappear like desiese and grass tufts becoming geckos which are also non-renewable.

I always put my starting resource on Classic, it's a setting you can change when you start a world, that gives me enough saplings to put in my base. When the twiggy trees arrive, I already have enough twigs farmed to not ever have to pick up one of those.

Is it one of the presets on the far left of the resources screen?
