Who do you think is the best character?

Hey guys, So I have been enjoying Don't Starve Together a lot recently and have played all of the characters a whole bunch recently, Who would you say is the best?
I personally cant decide between maxwell for his fast and effienent resource gathering and ability to live in caves without the sanity issue, wicker for the early backpack's and books for later (makes farms useful) or webber for his infinite food.

Wickerbottom: Her books and science machine knowledge really does make her extremely effective. She doesn't just do well on her own but is great to have on about any team.
Wolfgang: His strength definitely makes him the main fighter of the group but he does require some focus with food.
Webber: With his control over spiders makes exploring underground much easier and by starting a spider war he can bring lots of glands and silk to the team.

Maxwell: You're right about his resource gathering speed though I wish his shadow puppets were a bit more powerful in terms of fighting. Personally, I think he should be able to summon a puppet then give them a tool/weapon to assign them a job and the puppet's damage would be based on the weapon. 35% sanity for 40 damage is alright I suppose but their low health knocks maxwell down a tier for me.
WX-78: His great stats late game, glow from lightning, and ability to eat stale foods makes him quite helpful for protecting teammates. Plus he synergizes with wickerbottom since her lightning book can overcharge him for 90 days or so I'm told.
Woodie: His fast chopping speed and werebeaver form is pretty helpful in the early game, especially since he has a bit more control over it now.
Wigfrid: Still a good fighter and able to make helmets/spears for the team helps but her ability to only eat meat does bring her down some.

B
Wendy: Abigail's effective for smaller mobs and mostly hound attacks but her lower damage multiplier does bring her down quite a bit for bosses.
Wilson: He's got a good beard which is just effective for himself.

F
Wes: For obvious reasons but he can still be fun.
Willow: Poor Willow.

S - Wickerbottom / Wigfrid

Wickerbottom is hands down the best character. Starts with an in-built science machine in terms of prototyping. Can farm unlimited amounts of resources from farms, grasses, twigs, berries etc.
Can also summon birds for infinite morsels (or Krampus farming), multiply tentacles and charge WX-78 on will. She's the caretaker of every group.

Wigfrid is a close second. Has the best baseline stats and starts out with decent equipment.

A - WX-78 / Maxwell / The Strongman (idk his name)

WX-78 is a terrible character however he can be upgraded to be as good as (or better than) any S character suffice you have enough gears.

Everyone likes Maxwell because of his puppets. I think they are terrible-ish, tbh.
His biggest perk is having an easy time to manage his sanity. He can eat monster meats and glommer goop's without any downside (as the sanity regens rather quickly).

The Strongman is a good character but since he's hungry ALL THE TIME i'm putting him on the A list and not S. That said if food management is a non-issue (most of the time it is) then he's better then Wigfrid. (Early game = Wigfrid wins. Strongman is "much" better lategame though)

B - Webber / Wilson

Webber is a favorite because he has the easiest time to survive on food. He has one of the worst baseline stats though. Gets insane by everything and his HP/fight stats are piss-poor.
He does have an easier time in the caves compared to others but by the time you are exploring the caves you have decent equipment anyway.

Wilson has a decent baseline and can make Meat Effigies wich are more expensive then telltale hearts but it's not bad I suppose.

C - Everyone else except for Wes (Wendy / Willow /Woodie etc.)
Terrible characters. If you want an extra challenge or be useless take these characters.

Atleast Willow has Bernie and Wendy has Abigail.
But that isn't enough to make these characters not terrible.

F - Wes
Self explanatory. Wes is ♥♥♥♥. Unless you are pro. Then Wes is a pro too.

Ok, first off I find this response awfully amusing, not only are you willing to argue that he is better then other players in the communtiy you also say he uses the best playstyle. I deffnatly have to disagree with that. I've been watching his videos since a little less then 1000 subs and each video I watched I noticed how much he farms nightmare fuel. He says being insain is a good thing, I agree with that to a certaint point but I think he is insain a little to much. He has chests full of nightmare fuel in such amounts that I would call unusable. I also noticed what a cocky attitude he had to his fans/watchers/critics. Occasionly I make comments giving critisium but he (not always ut somtimes) deletes them. Another thing that annoys me about edgyrick is that he make sugjestions that are just plain lies (such as saying he can get bone armor by day 40-50). I honestly would like to see him getting bone armor by day 50. I also find it intresting that you thing edgy is better then joshmocoolstuff. Look at his channel because thats the definition of pro.

I think he could improve his attitude but Rick's skill is pretty good. I still dout you can get home armor on day 50
