Who is stronger, Wickerbottom or Webber?
Hi so recently I have been playing both of these characters alot, webber is very strong for his infinite food with 2 nests, yet wickers early crafting and books allow her to compete. What one of the 2 do you think is the better one?

Webber is the worst. Wicker is much better.

Wicker for sure. Webber is one of my least favorite characters.

Eh, i prefer webber
Wicker helps if you get unlucky with world spawns though

Webber is useful only for when you play with friends though

+Sir Momo so if you play solo you would say that wicker would be better?

Wickerbottom's downsides can be easily managed. Fresh food is easy to come by, I've never found her hating spoilage to be a problem, i've always got more fresh food than I can eat.

Similarly her inability to sleep doesn't impact the game at all, there's plenty of other ways of gaining sanity (Jerky,Taffy,Mushrooms etc) and time spent in a tent is time not spent doing something valuable.

Her upsides though, are the best in the game. She can create an infinite source of tenticle spikes, doubling as a defence against hounds/bosses and/or a spider farm.

She can get krampus to spawn anytime by bringing down a screen full of birds and making them sleep, as a bonus you get a ton of feathers and morsels.

She can instantly generate food at farms or quickly get trees ready for cutting.

She can overcharge WX giving him insane movement speed.

She can share her books with Maxwell, who benefits from passive sanity gain, making using those abilities less risky.

Every group needs a wicker! =D

I'd rather wilson over wicker unless you're playing with a pre made world gen that has barely any gold rocks

basically - wicker only good if you either have horrible luck finding gold rocks / have a pre made no gold rock land

Wickerbottom is (one of) my favorite character(s) for exactly the reasons you mentioned.

One thing u missed though that I want to mention is that Wickerbottom has a built-in science machine. So you can skip that early in game and make a Alchemy Engine instead.
It saves both time and resources. The same perk is also incredibely useful to craft "on the go".

P.S: I like Webber though. He's something else. Infinite food from 1 spider nest (idk why people suggested 2 nests as I can survive easily on 1 nest) and he can befriend warrior spiders wich can be quite useful in fights (though useless against bosses).

Yeah but putting 5 nests all together and making the spiders fight each other is the best. Get like 20+ meat and silk every time you go there.
lol
do you really compare a character like webber to wickerbottom?
webber has nothing that justifies picking him over wickerbottom.

you get punched in the face by pigs and bunnyman, catcoons hate you, if you raise smallbirds they'll turn on you way quicker etc.

commanding an army of spiders is something EVERY character can do, don't need that heavy trade off of getting beaten up by pigs for something as insignificant as that.

eating monstermeat...really? if that's what you're picking webber for then you obviously have no idea how to crockpot your food and thus i mostly see noobs playing webber and getting killed the first time they go insane.

yea webber can farm spiders, i just never see people doing it which really defeats the purpose of playing him in the first place. just go wendy and clear nests with abigail.
