I will be curious if another developer will take over, or if they will offer any kind of refund.
No refunds!
But don't worry! Next week you can back The Repopulation 2 on IndieGoGo, where they promise to release the fabled "locker" update in a decade.
I guess it's already closed, never played it much as i was always waiting on lag to be fixed and the game to be close to finished first, wanted to log in one last time to make a toon and walk around a bit lol. There is some sort of galaxies emu. Too bad I gave my copy to my bro's friend in the 2000s because it was a couple or few years at least before it would let my pc run it iirc lol.
No real progress for years.
Updates you had to look hard to see any changes.
Never ending talk about "fixing the foundation" yet still a pita to play.
Outdated everything, even when it started back in the days. Even more so nowadays!
Should've gone with Unreal Engine as many suggested a while back but then again, you wouldn't have been able to promote this gorgeous engine. Oh wait...
Yeah well. But hey, at least you were the guys that tought me one lesson: Never preorder! Especially from smaller studios! It's just a gamble.
The game who's lore is a thinly veiled "lets take over the natives planet colonial simulator with cloned slave labor" being the GOOD GUYS is getting shut down.
Thanks for firing me because I did not want to clock in because you were not paying me.
Watching this dumpster fire for the last couple years has been very amusing.
Tbh if we took over Mars, and discovered little green humanoids were native to the craters, we'd probably view ourselves in a positive light as we colonised their planet for our gain.
they should have just let it die years ago, for all involved parties' sakes
Way to drop the ball. Give that dev post some clowns.
I try logging in, it doesnt work...lol, my first thoughts were 'this is broken now?'...can you blame the followers for assuming this?
Well, at least I can free up hard drive space....but I was really hoping they could pull this together and release someday. Such an ambitious project with good ideas...going to the grave.
Bummer.
