Could the developer add some cheats commands to this game?
I had finished this game long time ago. I really enjoyed it and had upgraded and unlocked a lot of clothes and gear back then. I hope I can obtain all of them again in this steam version, but I really don’t want to go through all those boring gold and junk farming again.

Is there any chance that the game could include some cheats so that some player who only play due to nostalgia like myself could skip some parts here and there?

How would they ensure that only those players use them, and not everyone?

They don't need to. Whether to use use cheats commands or not is player's personal choice. For people who loves challenge and vanilla play expierience, they won't cheat even if there're easy way to cheat. Likewise, For people who likes to have more control and a more relaxing expierience, they would try to cheat even if the game try to prevent cheating.

You are very naive.

The game has difficulty settings, try those.

How is that naive?

Sir, there's no need to insult.

I did, I had advanced to the crazy dificulty in my previous gameplay. And I understand that some of the clothes is a bit too powerful and would make the game too easy for the player if obtain early. But I can't see how is it relevant to my arguement since I clearly stated that it's a personal choice if the the player just want it easy.

I don't remember typing any insults. Where were they?

I primarily took the word "naive" as an insult since your choice of word indicates that my statement is lack of experience and judgment. The major point of your disaproval is that I wasn't understand this game well enough to make a opinion, which I am very upset about since I did stated that I had unlocked many secrets of the game in my original description.

Anyway, we are getting off the subject. I still think adding some cheats commands would not hurt the game. It might actaully make the game better since it allow player to skip some part that they find it extremely annoying or pointless. Like when I play Fallout New Vagus. I think my character's walkingspeed is too low and I wasted too much time on traveling. So I use cheats commands to increase speed in noncombat area and change it back when encounter enemy, which I find is a far more pleasing game experiece for me.

Some people think that chieves and stuff like that are for social pride (read: e-peen) and thus should be sacred and protected from cheating.

No, chieves are for your own personal record of your progression through and/or skill with the game.

Has nothing to do with your experience with the game. Has to do with your understanding of people, and how their behavior relates to how they would use these cheats. There is a reason that games generally don't have progression by-passing cheats, and it has nothing to do with steam achievements.

Irrelevant.

That's because it takes extra effort to make game-bypassing cheats in a form that's appropriate for an end user.

It has more to do with the fact that the last thing you want to do is give people a way to bypass your game.

So your point is that the misuse of cheating commands could have some negative influence. But could you be more specific of what consequences could it cause? and who or what might it affect? What negative behavior could it incur?

It's not going to happen. Remain unconvinced if you like.

Yeah, this conversation's a bit moot anyway. Barring future developments, I don't think that Mastiff is going to take a hugely active role in continuing the development of this product a la Fruitbat Factory's work with 100% Orange Juice or even XSEED's work with Trails in the Sky. Most likely, things are going stay as they are, no change.

Cheating tools are probably out there. Use them at your own risk, or something.

Have you considered Cheat Engine? I know there'a a few cheat tables for Gurumin. Nothing that will let you skip levels or remove mist, but there's item cheats and that sort of thing. You won't likely see this game get the kind of "quest xx090 1" type of thing like in Bethesda games.

Also, as you've already seen, please note that asking for cheats in STEAM forums usually will make people complain at you.
