Online Coop
Is it local coop only or can you do online coop too?

It's currently listed as a "Co-op" game which implies that there's an online coop mode, but the game description only mentions local co-op.

Alright, thanks. I'm too used to seeing "Local Co-op" instead of "Co-op" in the game description when it's local co-op only.

Hello. The game will only be local co-op. We changed it in the game description.
I hope they will add this co-op online option later with an update :beatmeat:

How do people have the game already if it doesn't come out for another 5 days? Also, what price will it be?

We're beta testers. And the price not really sure.

I second this.

It would have been an instant buy for me... =o(

It seems like the game is layered with a decent story and plot, with an interesting narrative approach. Even then, this type of gameplay would be much better with ONLINE co-op.

+1, would buy it with online co-op.

Add this plus some progression/replayability and I will buy 2 copies. As it stands now I see no reason at all to buy this over one of the metal slug titles.

the metal slug ports run like ♥♥♥♥ for one, have a capped framerate, and don't do many resolutions

You CAN do online co-op but doing that would require something like Splashtop or Teamviewer. I do so in my walkthrough https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2syTuxrt10 where my friend and I use Splashtop to play together without being in the same room. Works out pretty well provided you can fully trust the other person to remote control your computer lol.

Yeah, it's a real shame they didn't do this game with online COOP in mind. A lot of sales lost from what appears to be a neat game because there is no online support to play with my friends.

Small devs can't afford to run a dedicated server for a game (see Last Chance Heroes, where the dev pulled the plug on it and essentially canceled the online coop when the game presumably didn't sell as well as hoped), and I doubt most can afford a dedicated network programmer. At least that's the excuses I tend to read. :)

Some exceptions on small indy titles, like Meltdown where a 2-person team was able to wedge in a workable, client-based online co-op. Maybe How to Survive is another. But it really seems the exception these days.

I like GG &C, just find it really exasperating in difficulty on certain portions of the levels.
