Peeking inside the dialogue files? (csv.z files)
I want to see into the dialogue files to see if I missed any crew member dialogue after playing the game through twice.

So far I figured out that data01.impak file is a zip file that contains the various ingame data and en.csv.z contains the dialogue (as the DLC version of that file is plain .csv that can be opened in excel and has Fen's dialogue).

But seems it's a file that's encrypted in some way. A .z file should be a UNIX compressed file internet says, but it seems not to be that as I can't open it in 7zip.

Has anybody managed to open the .csv.z file up before?

I've had problems opening the csv.z files too, and the only time I thought I managed to decompress the file, I got a blank file. It's annoying me too, since the first Dig game had uncompressed .csv files that could be read just fine. (I even found some unused final boss dialogue, too! It was so cool.)

I also cannot figure out what the .irc files should be opened with. I believe that they contain animation data. At this point, I'm assuming that it's a file type that's used by one of I&F's development tools. (Dig 2 uses .irc2 files for animation data.)

Hello, I dont know if it an actual question or not but... I have the same problem... I cant do anything with csv.z files but I found some csv in impak file. There are some strings so I fould translate the menu_exit ... Later I found the DLC\dlc01\data01.impak\Language\ folder and as I added the menu_exit part here, it was working.
I just hope that I can find somehow the remaining source strings to localize this game.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
