use wine.
it works fine on ubuntu 14.04.4 LTS amd64.

Bought this after playing mobile for about 4 months, and then my hard drive failed two weeks later. Haven't been able to play since... I have the ability to go back, but I *really* don't want to go back to the hellhole that is Windows 10. +100 for Linux support.

Its not that hard so I think you don't need to.
Basic:
Wine
Make prefix.
Install steam in prefix
Install GMD.
Done

Its not that hard so I think you don't need to.

Sometimes simply wine doesn't display all the letters, a more guaranteed result is from play on linux, of getting steam

You simply do not have to make one because there already is simply a way how to do it. All you have to is install steam from playonlinux and your set.

A Wine wrapper would be more user-friendly. I love Wine but I hate having to install Steam and other programs under it.
