GD Not Launching

Hello! I have been playing GD on my computer now for almost 3 months now and I really enjoy it!
However, today it started bugging out. When I click GD on my taskbar, it lights up, but then just stops.
Does anybody know how to fix this?
I'd really love to know how :)

I'm kind of mad now, because I was so used to playing on my computer, that I wasn't great on my iPod.

And also, I think it was my Windows update that did this, because after the computer AUTOMATICALLY updated, it stopped working.
I bet by 2.0, this STILL won't be fixed. I hope this gets fixed soon.

ok guys here the solution.
1. go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Geometry Dash
2. left click on GeometryDash.exe
3. go to properties
4. Compability
5. check Run compability mode for:
6. use Windows 98/ Windows me
7. launch game then close it
8. go back and use Windows vista (service pack 2)
9. open game then close.
10. uncheck compability mode and the game should be perfect now

It helped me when I launched it in the other versions like Windows 98 /Me to turn Windowed mode on. This helped mine launch

Well, did it lauch when you started it in earlier versions? Like Windows 98/ Windows Me?

Nope :( but the screen did go black for a second, but then instantly sent me back to desktop without the game starting
