how do i use an xbox controller for geometry dash?

so my mouse recently broke, and i honestly suck using the space bar or arrow keys. can anyone tell me how i use an xbox controller for geometry dash? i have both xbox one and xbox 360 controllers btw.

You need what is called a wireless gaming adapter for XBox 360. There may be a simpler solution, but you can get these at Walmart for like $3 :P

my wireless controller is broken, and when i connect my cabled controller it doesnt work.

Use a program which assigns a button to a key it can assign for example X to spacebar. its called "joytokey".

get a cord for verizon phones, plug it in the xbox1 controller, on the fat side of the cord, put it in the socket on the side of computer, then it should work.

If you use an Android charger, it should work

I use a wireless controller and I connected it with a charging cord and it won't do the computer it will do the xbox. HELP. It also sometimes does nothing but shake. :(
