FIXED PROBLEM

ME AND A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THIS PROBLEM WITH GD. FOR SOME REASON AFTER UPDATING TO 2.206 IT DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE, BUT WE'VE FOUND THE SOLUTION.

GO TO https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170 scroll down and click x64 once you download that click close (you may need administrator privileges. After that, open up Geometry Dash and boom that's it. This problem happened because of missing files. Anyways have fun!

Ok got a solution for ya'll so you have to get Microsoft c++ Because this has the missing files in your computer Then you can play again the way i found out what missing files i needed was i went on to browse local files on steam and then open gd from there and it said i had VCRUNTIME140_1.dll, and MSVCP140_CODECVT_IDS.dll then i got microsoft c++ 2022 and then there never put VCRUNTIME140_1.dll, and MSVCP140_CODECVT_IDS.dll in tsytem 32 by your self because it will make it worse.heres a toturial https://youtu.be/nEU9qCA9EBA?si=MjCtlBwtZ7g444cJ

Solution:
The problem is that the MSVCP140.dll, VCRUNTIME140_1.dll and VCRUNTIME140.dll files are missing. Those are the files associated with the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable programs. Installing the X64 version off of the website will actually fix the problem because I tested it out, and I was hyped to figure out it worked. Just click on the X64 link and download it, and then it will work.

try deleting a lot of your custom songs. windows key, search for "run", once you open run, type "appdata" then click enter. Click on local, then find "GeometryDash". delete a bunch of your downloaded songs.
