Game wont start

just installed gm on a new computer but when i press play, it´ll load for about 3 seconds then just go back to being unpressed i guess. somebody know how to fix the issue?

note: if i search %appdata% and go to local, the GM folder is empty so deleting the CCGame files is not a possible option for me

yea same exact thing happened to me, except i'm straight up missing the GD folder altogether

I have a solution, I don't know what causes this, but it's happened to me before. First you have to go into your Geometry Dash folder and right click on the game. Go to properties and click on the "Compatibility" tab. then check off "Run this program in compatibility for:" and select the latest version behind the one you are currently using. Anything below Windows 7 will cause major audio problems.

If that doesn't work idk what to tell you. You prob need to search it up in that case.

i probably did everything in my power to try to start this game, your solution to be included, and it still didnt start. kinda weird tbh

This has few possible solutions. The only one that worked for me was this one: https://github.com/WEGFan/Geometry-Dash-Savefile-Fix/releases. Its a file fixer, sometimes for no reason apparently, the gd files get corrupted. Just download this and press enter, this will fix every file in order until all of them are fixed. If you are not sure about using this method just look for a video, there are other solutions that may help you.

Btw, this may not work for you since you dont have the files. You could try anyway but It wont work probably.

I just started having this same issue with my pc. do you save the game often because it seems that this happens after you try and save your GD account on steam atm

If your GD is not opening, go to your geometry dash, right click, go to properties, and before you do anything else, your gonna need to download something called msvcr100.dll on google because thats why mine was not opening. When you download it, put the the .dll into the folder and open GD and it should work.

If this does not work, then you might need a new PC or somthing
