I would recommend going down to 360 or even 240, as 390 isn’t divisible by 60 nor 120, either of which could be your native(as you seem to mention disabling vSync to play at the game’s natural 60FPS, and you previously played at 120), and at least older versions of FPS Bypass warn you to set your cap to something divisible by your native refresh rate.
Besides, a lot of difficult levels do have bugfix versions for bugged refresh rates, and it’s kind of your fault for putting it on 390HZ seeing as it isn’t divisible by either of your possible native refresh rates and the Demonslist rejects records above 360HZ.
But hey, I could be wrong and you could actually be playing on 390 and you just had a bit of a typo. In that case, still just play the bugfix versions or change your refresh rate. These bugs actually stem from a bug in the game’s programming that changes the physics on higher refresh rates, and this is gonna get fixed in 2.2 anyways, so just be stubborn and wait or follow the available “workarounds”.
Not a typo, and not using bypass either. I have the 'Acer Nitro XV252Q F' model which is natively 360 but can be overclocked to 390hz. Only a select few games can actually reach that refresh rate like valorant but still having the capability to run all games at the highest refresh rate is nice and smooth which I like.
Nice to know the fix is coming in 2.2, but in the same breathe... 2.2...
Edit:
After trying in settings to control the refresh rate, I found GD is an all or nothing type game, and simply doesn't care while it uses the factory highest setting to determine the V-Sync framerate. I tried changing the monitor max in both regular display settings and nvidia display settings, and when booting up the game, the framerate i was watching immediately boosted back up to 390hz. Guess I'll wait for 2.2 that will prolly still be awhile out lol.
And "divisible fps" only makes sense in your current refresh rate. Like playing 14fps with 42hz. It is whatever you set your custom Hz to. Or you can use gsync and then any and every Hz will be "divisible", even fractional Hz
