Trouble opening the game

Whenever I try and open the game it does nothing. On steam, when I start the game it runs for about 5 seconds and closes itself. It doesn't even open a window. I've tried everything including restarting my computer, uninstalling the app, and when i run it in compatibility mode, it opens but it is a solid 30 fps and it makes the game unplayable for me. Help?

I had the same problem, go into AppData > Local > Geometry Dash, afterwards you want to find CCGameManager.dat and CCLocalLevels.dat files, delete both of them. Do not delete CCGameManager2 and CCLocalLevels2.

I delete both files and i go to open the game but it does the same thing and the files get restored?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the game after you delete the files

this has never worked, in fact it copletely deleted everything in my folder when i did this, stop spreading this solution

The only time this issue happened to me, this is the solution that fixed it, obviously you did something wrong

so, everyone who hasnt had this solution work is their fault, the hundreds of posts saying it hasnt worked is just an illusion? this game has a file corruption problem and robtop needs to fix it, do your research and look around before making assanine comments like this

Have you thought about using event viewer to find out what the problem is? You keep saying there was a corrupt file. Someone else with the same issue found the specific file that was preventing the game from starting.

You are doing something wrong 100%, there is no way that Geometry Dash is not in AppData > Local
