Geometry Dash

Statistiche:
Question about the FPS hack..?
I have a 144hz monitor, but my current computer doesn't work with it correctly. My computer's desktop settings do go up to 130hz and whatnot, but once it reaches 144hz, the screen just goes black, and I was wondering that if I had the FPS hack with the computer, would I be able to play 144hz geometry dash? Basically I have a 144hz monitor but it doesn't work correctly with the computer, so I was wondering if the FPS hack would allow me to play 144hz gd anyway. thanks

It would not allow you to see everything with 144 frames per second.

What cabel do you use and what are your specs? This might be the problem.
Yes, it will, but I recommend either 180fps or 120. 144fps makes the game stutter. (From my experience, at least.)

You know the hack doesnt allow you to actually see GD in 144fps?

that's what I was asking. I have a 144hz monitor and was wondering that, if using that hack, I could be able to see 144hz. I don't care if I can get 144+ fps; it's pointless if i can't see it.

If you do not actually reach 144 fps there is no point in having a 144hz monitor. You can only see 144hz if you achieve 144fps. The frames loaded per second=the frames you see on your monitor.

At this point you should probably try to find out what exactly causes this issue instead of looking for workarounds.
The difference between 130Hz and 144Hz should be negligible.

Now, to clear some things up:
The FPS bypass makes the game run at whatever framerate you input, but it doesn't affect your monitor's refresh rate.
For example, if you have a 60Hz monitor and you set the FPS bypass to 120, you will still only see 60fps because that is what your monitor is set to. Your inputs will still be more presice than on 60fps, but there won't be any visual difference.

This is because, I assume, you have a 60Hz monitor. If you want the game to run smoothly, the bypass must be set to a value that is a direct multiple of your refresh rate (in your case 120, 180, 240 etc.). On the other hand, a player with a 75Hz monitor would go for 150 or 225.

If you have a monitor with a high refresh rate then you probably shouldn't exceed your refresh rate by more than x2 (a 144Hz player could go for 288fps).
Though in that case you could set the bypass to your monitor's exact refresh rate. Doing that would reduce input lag, since the bypass eliminates the need for Vsync to be enabled in the options (iirc Vsync is required for the game to run at a framerate higher than 60 but correct me if I'm wrong).

Technically, it would make the game slightly easier but no, it won't make your monitor actually output 144fps.

[EDIT] Then again, if your monitor is set to 130Hz then setting the bypass to 144fps would make the game stutter quite badly.

All I'm asking is whether or not I would see 144hz geometry dash using a 144hz monitor and the fps hack. My computer most definetely would be able to run geometry dash higher than 60 fps, however whenever I try to configure the computer to run at 144hz, the monitor just turns black.
