is it just me or the 120 coins wave has a smaller hitbox?

ever since i started using this wave i rarely die at the second deadlocked wave

The hitbox between icons is the same.
When I edited the default wave in the files to be smaller, I felt like I was playing way better, and did about 10% of the first Sonic Wave wave.
