Damn! So it's not a one-weekend game then. I am still interested, but then probably later, after Mario Odyssey.
Most people would see it as a shoter game at first, as they only see the stages created by RobTop (The Creator), but no my friend, this game can last you a lifetime, no joke about that. There is rated levels, featured levels, unknown levels, auto levels, hard levels, impossible levels, even artistic levels, what you and other can create is endless. You can even make your own levels from scratch, allowing for even more playtime if you are dedicated enough. Overall, with all of the challenges, quests, secrets, levels, content, and more, this game could last your entire life.
On the other hand, difficulty is hard to explain; but if you must know, the hardest levels in this game are humanly impossible, only able to be beat by hacking and stuff. There are easy levels, some as easy as auto levels (Which progress on their own, no user input needed), there are mid-range levels (Which can range from 50-1000+ attempts), then there are hard levels, like insane levels, demons, etc. (Which can be a large challenge in skill, memory, relfexes, timing, etc.) So basically, this game could be the hardest in existence if you refer to the impossible levels, but overall... It's a challenging game for starters, all the way to the pro players.
(I could go on and on here, but I tried to keep it short).
Geometry dash isn't restricted by length or difficulty, it's restreicted by the player's sole capability to play it. It's all up to you.
