Help! My Game Won't Start! (tried every suggestion)

For the past few months my Geometry Dash on my desktop computer (for no apparent reason) hasn't started up at all, and has given me no error messages. Every time I try to open the game, nothing happens. Steam indicates the game is running for a few seconds, and then says it isn't. I checked the event viewer in Windows 10 and got the same general result I've seen in other forums where the problem seems to be a stack overflow in the lbcocos2d.dll file. I read every forum and tutorial I could find about this. Here's what I've tried:

- Reinstalled the game MANY times
- Reinstalled and repaired all of the vcredist things from in the game folder
- Updated my NVIDIA GTX 760 graphics card video driver
- Tried to run the game using save data from other devices
- Completely deleted the Geometry Dash folder within the Local AppData folder
- Tried to run the game in every available compatibility mode
- Tried running as administrator
- Tried disabling my antivirus
- Verified game file integrity in Steam and restarted the computer
- Set the game to force launch in windowed mode
- Deleted the lbcocos2.dll file specifically and had Steam re-download it
- And finally, tried using the lbcocos2.dll file from another hard drive where Geometry Dash works

I've seen a good few cases where any one of these things will fix some people's game, but there also seems to be a whole group of people who have tried just about everything, and their game is still broken. I'm quite confused how all this could not fix whatever problem I and other people are having, and I've run out of things to try (other than completely reinstalling Windows, which I'm sure no one wants to do). Any big original ideas anyone?

THIS MIGHT ACTUALLY HELP: try right clicking on the GD .exe file in it's local files, and press properties. Look around in that window, and find something called "Run in Compatibility Mode", and test around with different options. Compatibility mode makes it when you run GD it'll make your computer think it's a different version of Windows. For me, Windows XP or Windows 7 works best. I used this strategy to help it work for me :)

Try to end GD's proccess using task manager and launch gd again.

Thanks everyone so far for the suggestions, but these are all things I've already tried (apart from reinstalling Windows and smashing my computer with a hammer). I've just come to the conclusion that this problem is unsolvable without taking drastic measures that wouldn't be worth it. So guess we'll just have to wait for a fix from the devs, but who knows how long that could take considering I've seen someone say they've had this problem for a year already.

yeah man its happening to me and its probably a glitch on robtops side so just wait i guess

this used to happen to me on a defferent game... it eventually just started working again.

hi dude, u have to delete your downloaded music files in the gmd files (steam files)
but i ve a problem too, my shift tab doesnt work only on gmd, if someone has any ideas how to fix this tell me pls
