So, what exactly does the black jump orb even do?

But I've seen black orbs do other things too so are those not actual black orbs and just someone getting sneaky with the level editor?

yes, you can use Pulse triggers to make any object at all any color at all

Wow ok never knew that I guess I can never trust those jump orbs anymore since people will just recolor the trap orbs to make them look like an orb you actually need to hit lol.
