Particle Removal Help
So, you know when you jump with the ufo a burst of particles come out? I am looking for how to remove them. I have succeeded in removing the constant particles by editing the dragEffect file, but i can not seem to get rid of the ones that appear when you click. Can anyone help me on this matter?

Right click GD and select Properties>Geometry Dash> Resources and then what to do is delete dragEffect, shipdragEffect, and just delete all the Effect files in GD. That is what to do to get rid of your particles.

Hope I helped!

if you delete them theres a possibility the game crashes. its better if you find out how to edit them.

Deleting effect files won't crash since particles aren't vital to the game.

then why when you delete a file that contains the image of a trail it crashes? simple, its not because they are important, but the game tries to load them from the trail handler file, and because there's sth missing it crashes

So, what if i just moved the effect files to another location, like my temp folder or whatever. Would that have the same effect?

Simple, open gd, go to settings > help > then press low detail mode

Do you mean about almost every effect in the game? It is called the low detail mode. You can find it in Options-Help and there you should check the option

low-detail mode doesn't delete certain things like these dots when you use ufo or when you land as a cube

i know it is possible to get rid of the ufo particles because cyrillic did it. You can see it in one of his vids. Also, please stop telling me to use low detail and delete system 32.
