Common GD errors with fixes![UPDATED]

Yes this is actually me and not my dumb brother! I have collected most of GD errors! I have done research as well so I have tested these

Yes i know, we all have that moment where something happens and poof the game tends to be a let down. Everybody makes a discussion about it or goes on the Update 2.10 discussion and tell their problems there!With barely any help from the community people sit there and wait and wait and wait! Until someone finally fixes their problem or not ;)!

How to get your data back:

The password bug:
1. Make sure GeometryDash is closed and not running!
2. Go to the boomlings account managment page and change your password twice!
3. Don't go on GeometryDash. It's best to wait a few days before trying to log into your account. I really don't know why it doesn't pick up a password change automatically! :/ It worked for me! You may have to wait 3-4 days before trying to log back in!
4. If this fails the servers may be down! That's all I can say!

How to fix texture problem:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Make sure GeometryDash is closed and not running!
2. Go to Library > Games
3. Right click GeometryDash and click on Properties!
4. Now go to Local Files > Verify Integrity Of Game Files...
5.This should fix it! If this fails try uninstalling the game and re-installing!
Also if you installed a texture pack chances are it screwed up the textures!

How to fix Game errors like not loading, crashing on startup, etc.:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Double check to make sure firewall has permitted access to the game!
2. Close out Steam and anything else that is running!
3. Open up your malware scanner software/program!
4. Do a complete FULL SCAN OF ALL FILES!This will take a while since it is doing a full scan.
5. Before restarting your computer DO NOT CLOSE ANYTHING OUT THAT THE SCANNER HAS DONE LIKE THE POPUP OF THE SCAN COMPLETE ETC.!
6. Open up command prompt in Administrator Mode!
7. Type in "netsh winsock reset" without the quotes!
8. Now go back to the malware scanning software/program and click ok or whatever it is to accept! If it does not tell you to restart your computer do so! If it does let it restart your computer or do it manually!
8. After you've restarted your computer and have made it to this step give your computer at least 3 minutes to refrsh itself( meaning let it sit there for 3 minutes!)
9. Now you should be able to run your game! If this fails then idk what to do after this :/

How to fix GD lag:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you have a good computer do this step!
1. In-Game go to the settings icon and then Graphics > Advanced > Smooth Fix enabled! Vertical Sync enabled(if you have Fullscreen mode enabled) Now apply the changes!
2. Now go to Options and enable the following: High Capacity Mode!

If you have a bad or mild computer do this step!
1. In-Game go to the settings icon and then Graphics and do the following: Disable Fullscreen mode and set Windowed Resolution between 720x576 and 1176x664! Now apply the changes!
2. Now go to Options and enable the following: Load Songs To Memory, Change Custom Songs Location, High Capacity Mode, Enable Move Optimization(Enable this if performance is low Note: can create minor visual glitches!)!

Now this one you can do for both!
1. Press Shift+tab to open up the obvious pop-up! ;)
2. Go to settings > In-Game! Set In-Game server browser: Max pings/minute between 1000 and Automatic (5000)!

How to fix saving and uploading levels:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Clear all saved levels!Too many saved levels can have the following effects: Slower game, more problems arise when the game size gets to big because of too many saved levels , more errors when trying to upload levels!
2. Delete some songs! Chances are you have a ton of songs saved up. The best way to fix uploading and saving problems is by deleting some songs!
3. Delete levels that you have created and/or copied that are wasting space on your computer. Having alot of created levels can eat up game memory, slow down the game, slow down uploading time and saving time! Chances are you will have more than 4 pages of levels. If you don't delete levels like most people do it can build up to where you will have more than 10 pages of levels which is 100+ levels! Delete some of these levels!

I know people are having the E-Mail invalid error but I have no fix for that! Sorry :/

What about problems saving and uploading levels? I've been looking for a way that actually helps me since November of last year.

hopefully i can get my data back. I had 3241 stars i think 3600 diamonds 86 secret coins 568 user coins 11 demons. i have been playing for so long.

I broke my game. I got all 3 keys, but I accedentally clicked away from the key room at the same time that I unlocked the 3rd lock, so now when I go back to that screen, all of the locks are unlocked, but the gate is still closed. What do I do to fix it?
