Reason behind servers being down constantly!

Just a quick note be careful when you play the game when you are offline on steam. YOU MUST SAVE YOUR DATA BEFORE EXITING THE GAME BECAUSE OF A GLITCH!If you don't do this you will notice that you wont be logged into your account and that it will look like you haven't played the game before!This also happens when you rage and smack your computer and it turns off! I don't know why this happens and neither does RobTop!

Attention everyone who is complaining about GD servers going down alot! You may not know but servers will go in maintenance every now and then. Also, we have someone hacking the game right now and RobTop is dealing with it so i would save your data now if i were you!

Also, map packs have been shutdown for a while for a few things. I am not allowed to say those few things ;)!

Accounts are also being affected to.Rubrub wanted to avoid possible data being lost when saving data while servers are down so he has disabled the ability to save accounts when servers are down.

NOTE: Server can also go down if your internet stops so it may not be maintenance during that time. You may also be getting hacked as well. etc. Gauntlets will be updated soon but not anytime soon ;)!

Rubrub will also be fixing stuff for the next big but not major update 2.2! Everybody knows that the collab system, TOE 3 or Electrodynamix 2, user created icons( the official icon contest is on Viprins channel! All of the best icons will be put into the game in 2.2), etc. in the 2.2 update! What people don't know is that there will be more Gauntlets(around 1-5 more gauntlets in the 2.2 update), (UNCONFIRMED) there will be more map packs, more achievements, icons, etc.

So, if I didn't save before this maintence will I lose progress made during the maintenence break like daily rewards and chest openings?

No, progress will not be lost unless you forget to save and you load old data!

Yes! But never open GeometryDash when your offline on steam. Is your computer suddenly turns off you are ruined. Everything in GeometryDash will be reset to default. :/ So you want to save your data before you exit the game all the time!

Just saving in general! We have a hacker on the loose in GD right now so we are recomending everyone to save their game data before the exit the game everytime.
