How to fix gd not opening

First go to your steam library and right click on gd. go down to properties. Then it will open up a tab, click on local files. Then click crowse local files. Then it will open up to a files page. Right click on the "Geometry dash" or "Geometrydash.exe" (which ever one you have.) And right click and click properties again, go to compatibles and change it to windows 95 and unclick the "Run this program in compatible mode for" button to cancel any bad lag. Close everything out and open up gd and it should work.
P.S it doesnt delete any saved or unsaved data so no worry.

Not unless you delete CCLocalLevels2, which you shouldnt.

It opens as seen in the task manager, but closes itself before the game itself pops up.

yes, this is the one I am refering to. Steam even says that I am in-game and that it is running and it stops after a few seconds.

That's the exact same problem I'm having.

i was never able to open gd so my gd folder is empty, what do i do?

None of this sht is working. This keeps on happening to me and it literally makes me want to scream, and I can't find any solution this time, GD just decides to stop working for no reason and next thing i know, I've lost all of my progress. I've tried this method, didn't work, tried deleting CClocallevels and CCgamemanager, of course that didn't work either, what is it that's causing this?? The fact that I'm the one having to pay for this game yet Steam can't even launch it properly is just absolute bullsht.

press win+r
then type %localappdata%
then find the Geometry Dash folder
then delete CCgamemanager and CClocallevels
done!
if u have account and u save it u wont lose any but if u dont use it will just reset everything so recomended make one and dont delete the CCgamemanager2 and CClocallevels2 (sorry for bad english)
