I need some hints for final elder roots...

I love this game. It has been absolutely amazing and captivating... and I think I'm reaching a dead end with some things I'm trying to accomplish. Any hints would be appreciated in obtaining these last two elder roots

I'm missing the King's western stump... I know WHERE it is... the problem is that I sided with the merchants and, as a result, it is sitting in the vault. I also took out the loan before I did this... so whenever I try to talk about my account it says I have to repay the loan first...

I don't have any leads at all on the King's Western Horn. I think maybe it is buried in Barry's Field or maybe in the Bayou... I have no earthly clue where to begin looking

I feel very close to the end. There are some quest lines that feel like they are coming to completion and I have several true wish items which have each provoked their own deep dreams at various times. I would love to try making a wooden king with all his pieces. Please help :)

Finally if anyone knows where Fr. Bunion goes after you go into his fish (I talked to him and skipped his dialog by accident, re-entered the tavern and he was gone) or if Mr. Pickwick does anything (I have tried every merchant hat and the Baron's head talking to him) that would be helpful as well.

Well... I got the Western Stump... I found a bug that let me make infinite swords of Fortuna.... I paid back my loan and was able to get the Relic.

Still have no idea about the Western Horn.

Very helpful thank you! How did you duplicate items? I can not repay my loan and even selling everything i have will not make it. Also when you look in the inventory I have one part on the left missing, the one bellow the kings head, any idea?
Last but not least When i put 8 itmns plus 3 tappens in the witch cauldron there is a reaction but nothing happens. Just dialogues with the witch are changing but I did not use everything. A bit lost with the last part of the game to be honest. Thanks!

I only have some of the answers you seek.

I duplicated items on accident... and in the end it may have hurt my game. Do not attempt this with anything that you consider important to the plot... especially not with a True Wish, like Fortuna's Sword . I believe this bug has barred me from many endings (I've only successfully gotten two, even after using recipes in the other threads).

1. Explore the Old Path region.
2. find the Deep Well and descend into it
3. place an item of significant value onto the Altar of Sacrifice. DO NOT SLEEP IN THE WELL AFTER THIS POINT. You may do so beforehand, as I did, but doing so after may make the altar unusable for this purpose.
4. remove the item and leave the well
5. re-enter the well and check the altar. You should find a copy of the item there.
6. you can check the altar repeatedly without leaving the well and collect as many copies as you like. The altar will appear empty but the thing will always be there.

If that doesn't work you might try grave robbing for cash too. I didn't do it for most of the game... turns out that is the best source of keys and healing in the game and there are no negative repercussions. Pineal Elixirs are quite valuable...


Your missing item is the King's Tongue. Unfortunately I don't remember where I received it from...regardless I have found little use for any Elder Roots other than the head and eight other pieces for the cauldron. You cannot use all the pieces. That was dissappointing.

The same thing happened to me at the cauldron... but a nearby item you may have looked over previously is now labeled . Look around a little and you'll find it. if you give up, it is the giant pumpkin. You can break it to find the fruits of your labor within. I have no idea why this is the only item that appears from the cauldron this way

My girlfriend remembered!

the King's Tongue isn't attached to any quest line in particular. You need to go to Old Path and dig near a strange monument. You should be able to sort out the rest.
