Map Editor/RMG
I know there is a way to access the map editor and random map generator. there seems to be no way to do this in the actual game. Does anybody know the path to the find the .exe for either (or both) of these?

The RMG is inside the editor, so all you have to launch is the editor.

To launch the editor go to your Steam games library, select Heroes VII, hit Play, and then a popup should appear asking if you want to launch the Game or the Editor :)

Hi Vendetta, when you double click the icon to start the game you should get an option to either start the main game or the editor. Is this not the case for you? Are you playing directly from Uplay or through Steam?

Plsying through steam. the uPlay updater starts up but never got an option to launch the game or the editor

Hello! I have different problem. I was making my map and started to save it, when suddenly editor crashes (Has stopped working). After that I am not able to load the map again because of same error message (MMHVII has stopped working). Can you help me, is there any way to restore my file, or is all hope gone?

my advice, turn off the autosave, it will drive you crazy when it starts to save when your in the middle of something
after that, save ALOT! the editor loves to crash for unknown reasons
nothing sucks worse than to do a ton of work and remember you have not saved in a while
then hit save and bam

I guess we will need your saved map to see what is wrong with it, send it to rolke@limbic-entertainment.de

Maybe you can also provide us with more information what you actually did before saving.
