Titans in Lone Wolf scenario

Does anybody know how to kill or avoid the 34 Titan stack blocking the way in the "Lone Wolf" scenario late game? He is blocking the only open gate (as far as I can see), and is labeled as "deadly" compared to my stack of about 1000 units - and indeed when I attack, his 34 Titans wipe the floor with my units, killing hundreds at a time. Of course if I wait long enough, eventually my two cities will generate enough units to kill him (I suppose). Am I missing something?

they joined me when i went to them, they are defenders of the city
if they dont join you i think its a bug

No, I just found it was because I have not completed a quest (going to the shore) - I am not SUPPOSED to go through the titans LOL. Sorry about that, I will have to keep my quests in mind...

Nope. I kept trying, but I had to wait till I was strong enough, and even then they killed 2/3 of my units. Maybe I missed something, but they certainly did not want to join me.

also, when they appeared for me, they were 600; not 34

Maybe it is not the same titans; mine are the ones preventing going to New Market city. Their number is around 40. I had to wait until my growing army using the two other cities I had got big enough to wipe them out. Later in the scenario I was given a large group of Titans, but of an inferior sort.

I also don't know how to get past the titans, i fight them now in much greater numbers as i have built up troops and manage to kill them and then it ends the game saying i have lost

Did you make sure you completed the correct quests to have them join you Nickreston?

I have the same problem. I have finished the preceding quests and the Titans near New Market do not join me. I have restarted the scenario with the same result.

I have around 100 titans to fight, increasing by about 6 per week so I am not making much headway by building up my army since teh towns I have don't have any elite creatures.

I have to face 94 Titans. They do NOT join, they want to fight. All the gates that give access to most of the areas and all the shrines are closed. Anybody know how to open those? That would make it possible to get to the Tower of Light and the Archangels, as described in the quest text after going to the Shore.

well i eventually built up an army big enough to defeat them after a lot of ending my turn and stuff... but when i defeated them, I instantly lost the game

same here, in the end i killed the 76 Titan stack with my 450 core stack of shooters while my left army was murdered by em lol i only made it because they buged out for some reason and "coudnt reach the target" whatever that means by then they only waited and defended, but the doors to the swordmasters and the angel will only open if u get past em, and they didnt want to join me and im quite sure the People here who think they joined em are talking about heaven campaign map 3 which has a stack of shantiri-titans joining u to defend the city

I don't think these Titans are supposed to join you. Swormasters you receive & can hire should be enough to beat them.
My mistake was I had not known how to deactivate the light gate :)
