thinking more and more about it, and going over everything more and more, it's almost like somebody at ubi or wherever actually wants to kill the series.
They made two youtube videos which are a tutorial and if you play certain campaigns it also guides you across the game's mechanics.

YOU'RE wrong. As a new player coming to the series, I was lost when I started the campaign and more than a little annoyed that there was no tutorial offering. 99% of games come with a tutorial these days, there is no reason why this should had been left out. ESPECIALLY when I believe, and correct me if I'm wrong, Might and Magic VI included one.
I'm a new player too.
Watch the two youtube videos and bam, problem solved.
Or don't and just forever a whiny ♥♥♥♥♥ on Steam. It's your choice.
