and no...you will not get 70fps...you dont need that much anyway, its a turnbased strategy. also you can speed up the way the heroes and ai moves with ai turns, adventure map and combat in the options menu. that will give the illusion the fps is running faster.
On my work PC I get around 63-65 FPS with VSync off on a GTX 670 (on a debug build, not a retail build though :D ). You should get around the same I think, if I'm not overestimating the 960M's capabilities.
1) In game Nvidia is selected and i can't select my weak card in motherboard. The option is gray.
2) Nvidia control panel. Global paremeter - use only Nvidia. Specific for game - Nivida too. But here comes the funny part. If i select my intel card in global paremeters and specificaly for Heroes.... the FPS isn't changing. Soooooo O_o heroes ignores configurations and still uses intel card? maybe i need to install some specific old nvidia drivers? dunno
What ever I'm doing, the game still use my onboard grafic chip.
(if I turn the onboard grafic chip off, the game don't start. It always crushes)
Ingame I'm not able to change the Graficcard, because it's grey.
Only problems with this game.(since day one -.-)
your running off the chip in the cpu it seems, not the video card...deelete vnvidia driveers and reinstalll them...maybe they are corrupted...another thing...go to nvidia control panel...select the configure sound and physx on the left side...change auto setting to your graphics card in the drop down...
btw the reviews on that laptop are fantastic,so you should seee a great improvement in all games when you do this.just remember to look at that when restarting your laptop...it may default back to the intel hd chip again.
The intel HD works like a bridge. If i disable it, then Nvidia isn't working at all. Maybe you have some video specificaly for this laptop model. Was searching previously cause wanted to have only nvidia and ingore intel HD but... found that the Intel HD is like a bridge....
Any help?
To OP:
I think you are. I have a 860M which is about 20% slower than a 960M and can only get 30-40fps on max settings. To put it in comparison:
Your 670 is about 5% faster than a 760
A 760 is about 60% faster than a 750 Ti
A 860M is somewhat equivalent to a 750 Ti
A 960M is about 20% faster than a 860M
Heck I can't even play the old HoMM VI on ultra at 60fps (always fluctuating between 40-50fps) so IMO 30-40fps should be the expected frame rate maxing out considering OP's specs.
watch this video...it will hellp you sort your problem out

The game still use the inegrated grafic chip.
