You can check skill page of one of the altered creatures and it should be updated.
That's a source code issue I believe. The mod community doesn't have access to that so, I'm afraid that's not possible.
- it can't use its heroes well. most have no army at all, and do nothing all game.
- it can't coordinate. Simple things like building the same elite unit in 2 cities of the same type to get complete stacking is just beyond its ability.
- it can't use magic well. It uses whatever random things it has, but you rarely see it drop big spells. It favors derpy things like 'advance' shout to something that kills 2-3 stacks per cast like circle of winter.
- it does not make good use of paragon skill to keep all its heroes at least level 15 or so
- it walks right by things it could have used, like pile of gold or resources or even artifacts.
about the only thing the AI does well, its one and only effective strategy, is to bulldoze its way to you and smash you early game using its cheat vs neutrals and whatever luck it had producing a big army (eg diplomacy or finding dwellings) or just buying heroes to stack their free armies). If it can get to you before you can catch up, it will hurt you.
whatever, i recommand a Mod if u want more challenge and set the difficulty high, there are at last 2 mods that make the AI at last a bit harder (;
